BACKGROUND
Moms spend an average of 97 hours a week on parenting responsibilities. Usually pulling from an empty well of time and energy.
The ViFi is an online resource that addresses the mental load and invisible barriers that make it hard for women to navigate the red tape of the healthcare system.
Project Overview
To construct an online women’s health hub that not only empowers moms but also democratizes access to invaluable healthcare resources for all women.

A Woman’s Health Information Journey
USER PROBLEMS
But getting the right information is hard
Based on our user research, there are three significant problems that prevent women from feeling informed. Addressing these barriers requires a multifaceted approach that includes improving access to reliable information, combating misinformation, challenging societal taboos, and promoting health literacy and empowerment among women.

Through wireframes and user flows we could form our platform skeleton. We prioritized the features of our MVP and created 3 product phases where I would hand off to the PM when each phase was complete.
DESIGN
Valued peer-to-peer knowledge sharing
The community forum on The ViFi provides a supportive space where women can connect, share experiences, and offer mutual support, fostering a sense of solidarity and empowerment. Additionally, the forum facilitates valuable peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and encourages open dialogue about various health topics, enhancing users' understanding and engagement with their own health and well-being.
Proactive healthcare management
Screening recommendations help women prioritize their health and incorporate preventive measures into their lifestyle. It serves as a reminder to schedule appointments and follow through with recommended tests, promoting overall health maintenance and disease prevention.
Better ways to connect with fellow women
In our approach, conversations are seen as building blocks of a supportive community, emphasizing genuine connections among women rather than transactional interactions with strangers. Under our paradigm, messaging is thoughtfully crafted to foster personal connections, ensuring that every interaction is relevant, personalized, and warmly received.
